Keeping its tradition of blending modernity with the antiquity of India’s spiritual civilization, Amity University Punjab, Mohali began its first offline Orientation program on 22nd September 2022 with the Vedic Hawan invoking the powers of divinity and blessings of God Almighty. The orientation ceremony was attended by more than 600 students & parents. The ceremony was graced by Mr. U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group, Mr. Gauravh Gupta, Vice President, Amity Education Group, Dr. R.K. Kohli, Vice Chancellor, Amity University Punjab, and Amity University Punjab Staff and Faculty.

The orientation ceremony was then carried forward by the Lamp Lighting ceremony after which students were welcomed by Dr. Shivali Dhingra, Dean, Faculty of Management Studies & Head - Amity School of Business Administration.

Mr. U. Ramachandran, Senior Vice President, Amity Education Group during his address to the students conveyed the greetings of Founder President of Amity Education Group, Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, and Chancellor of Amity Education Punjab, Dr. Atul Chauhan for whom Amity is not just a mission but a passion to build the nation through education and beyond. He further gave them a brief overview of our university and its rich academic heritage culture of 30 years.

Mr. Gauravh Gupta, Vice President of Amity Education Group, addressed the new batch of 2022 and congratulated the students on being chosen out of more than 5000 applicants. He also urged them to proudly carry on the Amity Legacy. He talked about the future of work and career options and motivated them to be prepared for the technologically advanced workplace of the digital age. He also requested students to take care of parents & grandparents and not to forget the core human values.

Vice Chancellor, Amity University Punjab, Dr. R.K. Kohli addressed students by welcoming them to their new journey and encouraged them to have an innovative and creative research mindset, and said, “Along with Education, our motive is to make Amity University a top-tier institution focused on research and innovation and a global knowledge enterprise along with a campus that attracts an environment that is inspiring for both, we will give our students and faculty the tools they need to go beyond the classroom. At AUP, you, the aspiring professionals, have fantastic chances to engage in the dynamic environment of research and developments in these and other fascinating fields of your interest.
In his thank-you speech, Col. Amrit Ghotra urged the new students to carefully abide by the rules of discipline and decorum, exercise self-control, and support the implementation of Amity University's zero-tolerance ragging policy.
