AIDT gave ample opportunities for self-expression and experimentation. The program has a gruelling curriculum and a plethora of interesting multidisciplinary/core subjects to complement one’s Engineering background with depth and breadth of advanced topics. Also, the instructors and visiting/guest faculties with illustrious careers and system/domain experts from DRDO, defence PSUs, DIAT, tri-services, and the like were very instructive in academic content and practical content through lab visits/discussions/lectures. Classes are well-structured, straightforward, and provide hands-on lab experience with real equipment, which I believe is an effective learning approach to understanding technical subjects like Radar Engineering, Satellite Comms, Electronic Warfare, Modelling & Simulation etc. Read the book, use the library extensively, develop something tangible, engage with the faculties and higher-ups, and use the labs as much as you can. The program was promising to me to secure a valuable internship in the Institute of System Studies and Analyses (ISSA), DRDO with the System Engineering group for 1 year for my Master’s thesis work. One can rely on the network and repute of Amity University in various Industries/Academia for preparing us for management responsibilities and entrepreneurial visions.

I have been a student of Amity Universe for 8 years starting from my school days up till now. My time at Amity has taught me so much, not everything will go according to your plans but that’s okay because not every time that plan would have worked for you. Pursuing the M.Tech Defence Technology program wasn’t easy, but I did it after all with the help of amazing faculties and the kind of friends that I made here. Amity has provided me with opportunities that otherwise would not have been possible. The events that I took part in helped me to enhance my confidence level. I have come from the highlands of Leh Ladakh. Since I’ve always been interested in defence-related topics, I enrolled in this course immediately upon seeing the headline of the defence itself. My own imagination has grown immensely and greatly as a result of this course, which I never knew would happen. I can confidently state that this institution is the finest one I have ever attended since the professors, staff, and cohorts were so encouraging. We had the time to communicate with many distinguished academics and scientists, and we learned about their most recent current research and advancements in defence-related weapons.

The experience at Amity University was enriching in terms of technical skills and research training. Since my course was very much research-driven, I have learned a lot of basics of research and development under the guidance of my institute and faculties from DRDO.

My experience with AIDT in the Defence Technology course is very great and memorable. Due to the effort made by the faculties, we students are able to learn so many things and full of learning opportunities that were full of fun and frolic and sometimes with the academic grind that one has to go through. The guest lectures and exposure to industries made me a better self to face the challenges of this corporate world. Especially while doing the projects, seminars and self-works in our academic year helped us learn about the real-time challenges that we going to face in the world. Amity Institute of Defence Technology has given me the opportunity to connect and get an internship at LRDE, Bengaluru (which is one of the most esteemed organizations handling our country's defence services. The 15 days visit to DIAT Pune, facilitated interactions with faculties of DIAT, Pune and provided great exposure to real-time challenges in the defence sector. At Military College, Pune we got the opportunity to interact with many researchers and got familiar with the current projects. I am also thankful to all the faculties of AIDT and visiting faculties to guide and support us where ever required.

The course content, mentoring strategy, and collaboration with the defence industry, DRDO and others are excellent. The faculties created an interactive and knowledgeable environment. It's a great course with multiple perks like guest lectures by esteemed DRDO scientists and leading Defence entrepreneurs. I got an opportunity to visit DIAT, Pune campus for lab work which was worth every second spent there. I gained a lot of knowledge and now at the end of the 1st year, I got an internship in L&T Defence, Mumbai because of the opportunities provided by this course itself.

I had a great experience during this course. This course gives us knowledge about all the latest technologies used in the defence sector. The faculties did an excellent job and made the classroom learnings more interesting and knowledgeable.
