Dr. Selvamurthy has served in Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO),
Government of India for 40 years in which, many health-related, and life science-related technologies were developed and inducted into the Armed Forces. His R&D contributions include the development of life support technologies for soldiers, NBC Defence Technology, Nano Technology Application, Application of yoga for the Armed Forces, Military psychology, and others. He was the leader of the first Indo-Soviet scientific expedition to the Arctic Circle for polar physiology research. He is presently a member of various scientific advisory Committees. He has published more than 250 research papers in journals of repute including 18 books. He has been awarded several prestigious awards in recognition of his significant contribution to the Research and Development of Life sciences.

Dr. Sikarwar has been involved in modeling and simulation in many aspects of thermo-fluids research with emphasis on phase change phenomenon and the formation of interfaces for the last twelve years. His current research is going in various directions such as thermal management of Engineering system, droplet formation physics droplet evaporation, dropwise condensation on wettability gradient surface, thermal energy storage and water harvesting from moist air. During his Ph.D. in IIT Kanpur, He developed Finite Volume-based CFD solver and Many students at Amity university have been using this solver for their research. He published more than 60 SCI/Scopus indexed Journal and more than 100 Scopus indexed conference publications. He completed one DST funded project and two of the government-funded projects are going on. He is a consultant in many industries and guiding many Ph.D. students.

Dr. Dineshsingh G. Thakur joined as Associate Professor in 2011 and was promoted as Professor during 2018. Presently he is a HOD of Mechanical Engineering, and having additional responsibility as a Director, Centre for Training & Placement (CTP), DIAT (DU) Pune. Before joining the institute, he served as Asst. Professor at Dr. B. A. Technological University (Govt. of Maharashtra), Raigad.

Dr. P K Sharma is working as a faculty in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at DIAT(DU), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, since June 2019. Before joining as a faculty at DIAT, has worked as a Scientist at Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES), a Delhi based laboratory under the prestigious Defence Research and Development Organization for about ten years. At CFEES, he has worked on Modeling and Simulation studies using FSI software ANSYS Autodyn to design explosive storage structures and Hardened Aircraft Shelter for SU-30. He was involved in fully instrumented explosion field trials of explosive storage structures such as Egloos, URP, and Underground Storage structures. A 100 mm diameter Shock Tube test facility was established by him to simulate blast effects in the laboratory used to evaluate samples/ models to assess their blast-resistant capability. He has worked on design, fabrication, and fully instrumented explosion field trials of blast doors. Design and analysis of blast valve to develop a new self-acting valve design free from blast leakage have successfully developed and patented. He has also worked as Deputy Project leader for the design, development, and evaluation of Hardened Aircraft Shelter. One of the pioneers' works done by him is Mobile Metallic Ramp (MMR) development to load-unload all military vehicles (including heaviest tanks) on railway wagons, which got inducted into the Indian Army in August 2019. During 2002-2009, he worked as a faculty in heat transfer and fluid mechanics at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Institute of Armament Technology (IAT), a DRDO training establishment known as DIAT.

R Admiral Sanjeev Srivastav (Retd.)-Sr. Consultant to L & T Defence (Submarines and Underwater Platforms),Former Director General - Submarine Design Group Indian Navy (Visiting Faculty).


Rear Admiral Shrivastav has Graduated as a Mechanical Engineer, from NIT Surathkal, Karnataka and a double Post-Graduate, in Warship Design & Construction from IIT Delhi and Submarine Design from Naval Academy, St Petersburg, Russia. At the Commander rank, Rear Admiral Shrivastav headed a large training establishment (Shipwright School/ INS Vishwakarma) in Visakhapatnam responsible for imparting training in Naval Architecture/ Construction (NC) as well as Nuclear, Biological, Chemical Defence & Damage Control (NBCD). After his retirement, Rear Admiral Shrivastav has taken up the appointment as DRDO Fellow and is working in very close collaboration with DRDO Laboratories (NSTL, NMRL, NPOL etc.) on a number active and critical projects and with HQATVP, for which SDG is the platform designer.

Well versed with civil aviation regulations (CAR) & DGCA applicability in planning, scheduling and managing operations of Aircraft on ground and in air and to apply proficient methodology to integrate aviation efforts programs like aviation operations management. He is subject expert in the area of Aerodynamics, Rotor dynamics, Flight dynamics.

Dr. Devender Jha retired as Scientist G from DRDO. During the last 34 years, he has worked on various Defense R&D projects in the area of development of hardware system/platform and software analysis tools for analysis of secure system and signals. Dr. Jha has been rewarded as the DRDO Lab Scientist of the year 2012 and 2017.

Dr. Roop Singh, Associate Professor, Amity Institute of Defence Technology


Dr. Roop Singh has over 15 years of academic and research experience in engineering and applied AI. He has worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at IIT Delhi and Project Associate at CSIR-CSIO Chandigarh, contributing to advanced research in medical imaging and non-invasive diagnostic systems. Recently, he visited Europe to attend masterclasses and present his research proposal under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship, gaining exposure to Horizon Europe–aligned research practices. He has published 30+ SCI/Scopus-indexed journal articles, along with conference papers and book chapters, and holds patents and copyrights. His research interests include medical image analysis, data hiding, machine and deep learning, and AI applications in healthcare.
