A. Main Convocation 2023

The Main Convocation of Amity University Uttar Pradesh will be held on Friday, 08th December 2023 in hybrid mode both online and physical mode in the Main Sports Ground in Amity University Noida Campus, Sector 125 Noida. The Ph. D scholars of all the domains of all the campuses, UG & PG students of Faculty of Management Studies-Nodia campus and AGBS campuses of Class of 2023 who have successfully completed their Academic Programmes will attend the Convocation.

The rest of the graduating students of all domains of Noida, Lucknow and Greater Noida Campus and their parents may attend Main Convocation Online from their home/place of work as per their convenience and thereafter may attend the Degree Distribution Ceremony in person on scheduled dates between 9th to 16th December 2023 at allotted venue at their respective campuses.

On Line Registration – cum Confirmation

It is mandatory for all Graduands to register On-line at www.amity.edu/convocation latest by 12.00 Midnight 29th November 2023 in addition to sending their confirmation to their Institution.

The Graduands who fulfill the following criteria, will only be eligible for registration :

  • Have no Pending Dues
  • Meet the Passing Criteria for award of degree
  • Updated status of their career progression
  • Provided the details of their postal address for dispatch of degree (if requested for dispatch through courier/post.)
  • Made the requisite payment for dispatch of Degree/Diploma

The students who do not register online for both Convocation and Degree Distribution Ceremony on time, will not get Permission to enter the Campus on the day of Convocation/ Degree Distribution Ceremony in On-campus (Physical Mode) or attend Convocation online.

Instructions to attend Main Convocation/Degree Distribution Ceremony

Following instructions are to be strictly followed by all the recipients in the Main Convocation to be held on Friday 08th December 2023 and during Degree Distribution Ceremony.

Dress Recipients are advised to dress in formals for the Convocation/ Degree Distribution Ceremony as indicated below:
Gents :
Lounge Suit/ combination with a tie, black shoes and socks
Ladies :
Saree/ Suit/Western(Jacket/Trousers with tie)
Those not formally dressed will not be permitted to participate.
Guests
  • The Recipient of the degree is required to register his/her guests (maximum two) to attend the Convocation On-Campus or Online.
  • Only parents, blood relations (brother/sister) or spouse of recipients are allowed to be registered for the convocation.
  • Children below 15 years of age are not allowed.
  • Formal dress code will also apply to the guests.
    The Convocation URL link will be shared with the guests through their registered email id in case of attending the Convocation Online.
Participation
  • The Graduands who have not registered for both Convocation and Degree Distribution Ceremony will not be permitted to attend the Degree Distribution Ceremony at respective Campus.
  • Students whose confirmations are not received on Convocation Registration portal, their degrees/diplomas will not be dispatched by post.
  • Detailed instructions on the Conduct of the Convocation in online Mode will be issued separately after registration.
Convocation and Degree distribution Ceremony Gowns/ Caps
  • All Recipients are advised to go for purchase of Gowns instead of Rental to maintain personel hygiene as they are required to wear it throughout the Convocation function and Degree Distribution Ceremony at the respective Campus of the University.
Timings On Campus Convocation
  • The Recipients of the degrees, after registration by the stipulated time, are to be seated as per program schedule for rehearsal and Instructions.
  • Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movements in the Convocation Hall/ Degree Distribution Ceremony and perfect discipline is to be maintained through out the function.
  • The Recipients must not leave the Convocation Hall/ Degree Distribution Ceremony before the function is over.
  • The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind that the Degree Distribution Ceremony will not be over before 7.30 PM.
Procession
  • All present in the Convocation Hall/ Degree Distribution Ceremony must rise when the Academic Procession enters and when the Academic Procession leaves the Hall.
Refreshment
  • Refreshments will be served after the Degree Distribution Ceremony.
Photography
  • Photography facility will be available for the Graduands, if they wish to get themselves photographed.
  • Graduands can make payment to the Account’s Counter available in Photography enclosure. The Photographs will be handed over instantly.
Online Recording
  • The recording of the Convocation will be available online for the Graduands on Convocation site.


Degree Distribution Ceremony

The Degree Distribution Ceremony will start as per time slot at the designated venues in the respective campuses.


Following instructions are to be strictly followed in the Degree Distribution Ceremony held from 08th December to 16th December 2023 by all the recipients.

  • The Degree Distribution Ceremony (DDC) of graduands will be held at their respective campuses as per schedule given on Convocation Portal. It is mandatory for students to register for attending both Convocation (Online / Offline) and DDC (Offline) on campus.
  • The students who have not registered and have not attended Convocation (Online / Offline) will not be able to attend DDC.
  • The Graduands who have not registered for the Convocation and wish to get their degrees in absentia are required to either collect degree in person or request for dispatch on payment basis as per guidelines.
  • Detailed instructions on the Conduct of the Convocation in Hybrid Mode will be issued separately after registration.
  • Detailed instructions on the Conduct of the Convocation in online Mode will be issued separately after registration.
Convocation and Degree Distributation Ceremony Gowns/ Caps
  • All Recipients are advised to go for purchase of Gowns instead of Rental to maintain personal hygiene as they are required to wear it throughout the Convocation function at the University.

  • The Recipients of the Doctoral Degree of all domains and UG &PG degrees of Management Domain-Noida campus and AGBS Campuses, after registration by the stipulated time, are to be seated in the Convocation Hall latest by 10:30 AM on Friday 8th December 2023 for rehearsal and Instructions.
  • Once seated, there will be no unnecessary movements in the Convocation Hall during Main Convocation and Degree Distribution Ceremony. Perfect discipline is to be maintained.
  • The Recipients must not leave the Convocation Hall before the function is over and the Academic Procession has left the Hall.
  • The Recipients should make their travel plans keeping in mind that the Convocation will not be over before 7.30 PM in case of Afternoon shift.
Procession
  • All present in the Convocation Hall must rise when the Academic Procession enters and when the Academic Procession leaves the Hall.
  • On-Line Convocation
    Recipients of Ph.D., UG and PG programs of Management Domain (Noida Campus) and AGBS campuses who have registered for online convocation must be seater at their places latest by 10:45 AM.
Refreshment
  • Refreshments will be served after the main Convocation.
Photography
  • Photography facility will be available for the Graduands if, they wish to get themselves photographed.
  • Graduands can make payment to the Account’s Counter available in Photography enclosure. The Photographs will be handed over instantly.
