Objectives
The objective of the Project is to develop Image processing algorithms using computer vision for automatic segmentation, analysis and watermarking of medical images which will aid Tele-Ophthalmology applications. The overall objectives are given below:
- Develop computer aided system & software for automatic segmentation and analysis of Medical fundus images including retina, optic disc and macula.
- Develop software for automatic Identification of the Retinal image if it has signs of Diabetic Retinopathy. (Diabetic retinopathy is a serious disease causing incurable blindness).
- Develop Software for automatic Identification of the Retinal Image if it has the signs of Glaucoma. (Glaucoma is a serious disease causing incurable blindness).
- Develop Software for implementing Digital watermarking for Inserting basic patient information in the Medical Images without loss of Medical Information for secure transmission and storage of medical images.
