Amity School of Engineering and Technology is one of the premier institutes of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh. The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) of the institute organizes various events from time to time to bridge the wide gap between industry and academia. The aim of these events is to give an exposure to the students to make them industry ready and to provide an interactive platform.

The Corporate Resource Center (CRC) plays an important role in shaping the careers of students from their induction and orientation, summer internships, mid-term projects, right to their final placements and even beyond. CRC also undertakes various academic and non-academic initiatives so that students are well equipped to meet varied industry requirements.

Therefore, managing Corporate - Institute interface is an important responsibility of this centre and it is also involved in brand building activities for the group. Besides its core function of Placements and Internships for the students, the CRC is engaged in a host of support functions, meant to bring about continuous improvement in student activities.

The Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) at Amity School of Engineering & Technology gives utmost importance to assist its students in getting suitable placements during their final successful completion of their studies. CRC ensures that every student gets the right skill & domain knowledge so that they are easily acceptable to the industry.

The department organizes activities and workshops that enable students to be effective team leaders as well as team players. This department is operated with twin-fold focus, i.e. augmenting internal competencies by fostering contemporary grooming of students and by enabling industry to identify and absorb intellectuals with requisite technical & managerial skills.

The changing paradigms have made mandatory for an academic institution to foster a new breed of professionals – individuals equipped with the right kind of knowledge, technical skills, ability to think out of box and innovative. The industry expectations have gone higher and only those survive and sustain who have the right attitude & skills to accept challenges and increase the performance ladder each day. Hard work is no more the key to success alone but individuals are expected to work smarter and consistent without failure.

The only objective of CRC-ASET has been creation of knowledge, influencing engineering skills and integrating them globally. Every Amitian is provided with highly professional environment of learning from the very first day. The institute places special emphasis on inculcating corporate values and skills required for complex decision-making, besides developing superior expertise on functional domains and garnering business knowledge. The CRC plays a very important role throughout by conducting industry expert talks, skill development workshops, industrial projects, operational workouts and trainings.

Industry Interaction & Placement
  • Constituting Students Committee for Industry Interaction and Placement and the guidance of Faculty Team
  • Preparing database of companies and Industry Experts to be invited for Placement and Guest lectures
  • Inviting Industry Experts for guest lecture
  • Continuous Interaction and Developing  Strong Bondage with industry professional
  • Preparing Presentation for Placement
  • Ensure Students are aware of placement Rules
  • Short-listing the Companies to be Visiting for Placement Drive
  • Visiting Companies after fixing up the appointment for  Presentation and inviting Campus Placement
  • Regular Follow-up with company for confirmation for Placement
  • Preparing Students Resumes as per University Format
  • Finalizing the Schedule of companies visiting Institution for Campus Placement
  • Ensure Proper logistic arrangements for companies visiting campus
  • Ensuring Proper Communication to Students about Companies confirmed for placement with all relevant details such as company name, profile, job profile, location, salary package, recruitment process etc
  • Grooming the students to succeed in Interviews
  • Maintaining all the records related to placement and Industry Interaction
Final Placements
  • Constituting Placement committee of Students, CRC and Faculty Members
  • Finalizing the Placement presentation for Corporate
  • Finalizing the placement strategy,  Rules & Guidelines and communicating the same to the  students, Corporate Cell and faculty members
  • Finalizing student teams for corporate presentations (Delhi NCR and outstation)
  • Constituting the faculty team for conducting GD, Interviews and personality enhancement sessions for students
  • Constituting faculty/CRC team for hosting student details on Amity website
  • Sending invitations to companies for campus placement and follow-up with companies for confirmation
  • Assigning faculty host and ensuring proper arrangements and hospitality for companies visiting for campus recruitment
  • Evaluating the industry feedback and taking necessary action to improve the quality of students, services etc.
  • Approving the debarred list for placement
  • Handling students grievances related to placements
Summer placements, weekly reporting, Evaluation and Industry feedback
  • Finalizing the summer placements for student
  • Issuing the bonafide letters to students for placements
  • Registration of Students for Summer training in respective departments
  • Briefing the Students about two months summer training in Industry, role of students, dos and donts, weekly reporting to CRC and Faculty, etc. and ensuring the students have got all the guidelines in writing also.
  • Ensuring the faculty and CRC is in constant touch with the Students in Industry
  •  CRC and respective Faculty guides have correct details of industry guides, recruitment incharge of the company for interaction
  • faculty guides interacts (through phone, emails incase guide is outstation or by visiting the guide
  • faculty is taking necessary action, if students are not reporting regularly
  • CR has done the proper analysis of all the placement presentations reports & database submitted by students and ready to take further action
  • the Industry guides feedback (constitute 35% of overall assessment) is received by CR at the end of the summer training
  • Faculty Board for evaluating the summer training reports;
  • Take necessary action based on the recommendation of faculty guide, CRC / IIC / ATPC, if any of the students is defaulter:
  • not doing the Summer Internship
  • Submitting the fake report
  • Submitting fake certificate of completion
  • Have not reported to faculty / CRC during summer internship
Organize Events

Seminars:In order to develop the leadership and managerial skills among students, CRC is responsible to create an environment for initiative taking for organizing various events like seminars, workshops etc.

Corporate Meet: Organizing the annual corporate meet where all the summer training guides, HR managers / heads, are invited to thank them for their support for summer internship.

  • Ensuring proper collection of the summer training guides data from students and personally verified
  • Sending Invitation to all the summer training guides and other corporate guests
  • To prepare the budget for Corporate meet and getting it approved from VC / Chancellor
  • Finalizing the gift for Industry guests as per approved budget
  • Finalizing the best summer projects to be awarded on corporate meet
  • Ensuring Summery of summer projects is printed on time for release
  • Meeting and personally welcoming all the industry guests
  • Ensuring proper conduct of the corporate meet
  • Ensuring to submits the final expenses statement along with bills for approval
  • Ensuring timely payment to all the vendors
