Government recognized

Government of India has recognized IETE as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) and also notified it as an educational institution of national eminence.


IETE conducts and sponsors meetings, conferences, symposia, and exhibitions all over India, publishes technical journals and provides continuing education as well as career advancement opportunities to its members.
About 200 students from ASET have become members of IETE and many more are motivated to become its member.

Department of Electronics & Telecommunication, had the proud privilege of formally establishing close relationship IETE another leading Telecom Institute by inaugurating the Professional Activity Centre (PAC) and IETE Students' Forum (ISF) at Amity University Campus.

The IETE has a large number of Telecom Professionals and is India's leading recognized professional society devoted to the advancements of Science and Engineering of Electronics, Telecommunication and IT.

The benefits which will accrue from ISF and PAC are as under:
  • Takes care of the Academic/Professional needs of the members. It improves the standard of education by encouraging outside the classroom studies / practical work / seminars etc.
  • Counseling the students in the emerging new opportunities and better employment of the students on completion of their courses.
  • Plans and organizes technical programmes and activities such as lectures, workshops, seminars, symposia, exhibitions etc for the benefit of student members on a regular basis. It facilitates technical visits / practical training / project work / employment of the student members in R&D laboratories, industries, academic institutions etc.
  • Facilitates in setting up Electronics Hobby Centre in the Institution with Industry support.
  • Students after they get their degree can become Associate Members of IETE at Subsidized rates.
