District Ranking Chess Championship

The school bagged the school trophy for being adjudged as the Best Performing School at the 1st District Ranking Chess Championship organised by Ghaziabad District Chess Sports Association on October 1, 2016. 400 students from 18 schools participated in various categories in the competition. Shivank Jha (KG) was the youngest player while Sarthak Choudhary of (IX) was selected for representing UP State in the Under-15 category. Arjun Dube (II) secured first position in Under-7 category while Vibhushi Agarwal and Soumya Jha secured second position in the Under-9 & Under-11 categories respectively.

Best chess school in U-9 chess championship

A 9 member chess team of the school participated in the UP State (U-9) Chess Championship on May 16-17, 2015 organised by Ghaziabad District Chess Sports Association and secured the first place and was declared the Best Chess School.

2nd District Ranking Chess Championship

The school team won the Best School and the Third Best School trophy in the girls’ category in 2nd District Ranking Chess Championship held on November 5, 2016.

CBSE National Chess Championship

Arjun Dubey of Class III bagged the ‘Best Youngest Player of the Tournament’ award in the National Chess Championship organised by CBSE from November 14-18, 2017. Over 600 students from India and overseas participated in the championship. The school chess team also bagged the ‘Best Sports Spirit Award’.

IIFL Chess Tournament

Aviral Jaiswal of Class VIII bagged the seventh position in the IIFL National Qualifier Chess Tournament held in New Delhi from December 1-3, 2017.

ANNIVERSARY CUP TOURNAMENT

A team comprising 12 students from school bagged the first position in the inter school Anniversary Cup Tournament held at St Teresa School, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on December 2-3, 2017. The tournament conducted by Ghaziabad District Chess Sports Association on behalf of Uttar Pradesh Chess Sports Association 2017 saw more than 350 students take part from Delhi/NCR. The school also bagged the Best School Trophy in the tournament.
