The warm clothes to be distributed were donated by the AI department students. The warm clothes and snacks were distributed among 60 children at the NGO. Few photographs of the activity are attached here.
Activity outcome- Hailed as one of the best seasons of the year, Delhi NCR winters are usually extreme with the temperature dropping quite low. While this may be enjoyable for a few, the bone-chilling winters that people experience can prove deadly for vulnerable sections of society, that are unable to access proper shelter or woollen garments during this time of the year. NPWF is a non-profit organization with a vision to empower underprivileged kids through literacy and basic education. The NGO (NPWF) was contacted to serve such underprivileged children as a part of the extension activity carried out by the Artificial Intelligence department. It was an important activity for the students as they got exposed to a different surrounding which is a part of our society but beyond the boundary walls of the academic institute. This made the students gather a feeling that they must contribute to a cause they care about. Last but not the least this made the students aware the social responsibility that an individual must have and carry on the same when they get to the top of an organisation.
