MoU signed between Amity University Jharkhand and RIMS
Ranchi, 02/06/2023: Today marks a historic day as the Amity University Jharkhand and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Bariatu, Ranchi signed an MoU on 2nd June 2023, moving forward with the vision and mission of Amity University Jharkhand’s Founder President & Chancellor. The signing of the MOU took place in the august presence of Dr. Ashok K. Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand, Prof. (Dr.) Kameshwar Prasad, Director, RIMS, Dr. Nishant Mani Director IQAC, Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar Amity University Jharkhand, Dr. Ajay Kumar Bakhla and Dr. Tripathi from RIMS.
This collaboration between Amity University Jharkhand and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) is based on a collective commitment to go beyond common boundaries to build bridges between the two which can have far reaching and great effects and for the society and people.
Dr. Ashok K. Srivastava, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Jharkhand said “The Memorandum of Understanding we sign today is the beginning of what we believe to be a long relationship in which we will learn from each other through cooperative academic pursuits for the betterment of mankind.”
The aim of this MoU is to foster a Collaborative Education program, Capacity building and Joint Research Projects. In the present scenario, collaboration is the prospective path for mutual growth of the institutions in all dimensions. It includes Capacity Building and Lifelong learning, Academic excellence and its growth, Promote State of art Programs and Facilitate the Academic need of the Jharkhand state.
This is a momentous occasion for Amity University Jharkhand and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS). As per the MoU, AUJ and RIMS shall make provisions to share their respective important R&D facilities to promote academic and research interaction in the areas of cooperation, Research instrumentation facilities available with the AUJ and the RIMS will be made available to the faculty and research scholars.
There shall be an exchange of students for academic, research and training purposes. Students of Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), a constituent unit of Amity University, Jharkhand will work under the guidance of a psychiatrist and Clinical Psychologist of RIMS and help in the assessment and treatment of cases. Students will be exposed to all therapies and infrastructure for completion of their program. Faculty members of AICP of Amity University Jharkhand with clinical background and expertise in testing will accompany students to give them necessary guidance and help RIMS in testing, analysis and using therapies to patients. The psychiatrist/ Clinical Psychologist of RIMS will guide and supervise the students.
RIMS on the request from the university will provide short term training to trainees of the university in their areas of specialization. RIMS and AUJ will apply for collaborative projects jointly to national and international funding agencies. RIMS and AUJ will jointly organize scientific workshops, symposia, training courses/conferences on topics of mutual interest. Clinical Psychology Students of the institute will collaborate with RIMS in the development of research projects and will accordingly use facilities of lab etc., to carry out research projects.
MoUs like this will have a greater perspective. This will be beneficial not only for the region and state but also for the nation as a whole.
