Amity University Jharkhand inaugurates Amity Centre for Research and Innovation Excellence (ACRIE)
The inaugural ceremony of Amity Centre for Research and Innovation Excellence (ACRIE)” under Research and Development Cell, Amity University Jharkhand was organized at the Seminar Hall (Campus 2) on 14.10.2022. It aims to nurture research and innovation culture at the university into challenging areas of Engineering, Technology, Science, Humanities, Law, Mass communication and Management, including multidisciplinary fields.
Amity University Jharkhand is a hub of research activities. It has established an environment in which research flourishes, and we have together contributed quality publications, citations, patents, consultancies, and extension services.
The core of the ACRIE is a group of AUJ faculty experts who are both accomplished and committed to promoting a culture of research excellence at AUJ. We have constituted four verticals under ACRIE to meet the objectives and to achieve the goals of ACRIE: Publication (Dr. Soumen Kanrar – Coordinator),Patent, Copyright, Innovation and Technology (Dr. Rahul – Coordinator), Research Funding and Consultancy (Dr. Dhananjay K Pandey – Coordinator), Extension Activity (Dr. Madhuri Mahato – Coordinator)
The over-all in-charge of ACRIE will be Dr. Jayeeta Chattopadhyay, with other core members include Dr. Dhananjay K Pandey ,Dr. Madhuri Mahato ,Dr. Amit K Dutta , Dr. Rahul ,Dr. Soumen Kanrar ,Dr. Shayantani Banerjee.
Prof. (Dr.) Ashok Shrivastava , Acting Pro vice Chancellor Amity University Jharkhand highlighted about world class in terms of research.“ We always talk about being world class and this can be achieved by the research contributions 67% of the entire contribution should be research.” He informed of setting up Centre of incubation, Consultancy and Entrepreneurship in near future.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey Dean Academics, Amity University Jharkhand quoted “Research is about problems and solutions. Amity is basically research and innovation driven. This must be continued. Faculty member is basically body of knowledge who can also guide the next generation.
Thereafter, Dr. Vikas Mishra, Director Engineering and Applied Sciences, Amity University Jharkhand suggested on carrying forward the legacy of research in Amity University Jharkhand.
Mr. Prabhakar Tripathi, Registrar Amity University Jharkhand stated that research, publication is the soft power of the university and we have already contributed a lot in terms of research and through this inaugural of Amity Centre for Research and Innovation Excellence it will be much more structuralized.
The ceremony ended at a successful note wherein all were motivated to contribute more in terms of research and innovation.
