Teacher’s Day celebrated at Amity University Jharkhand
Teacher’s Day was celebrated with joy and fervour at Amity University Jharkhand on Monday in collaboration with its Student Welfare Department and Staff Affairs Committee.
Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice Chancellor, Amity University, Jharkhand interacted with the students on various aspects of teaching. He asked why they are interested in getting educated. Another question was that is a child helpless in real sense. He said start thinking whether you really need education or not. If yes, don't leave it. He suggested teachers to be committed to their profession.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajit Kumar Pandey, Director, Amity University, Jharkhand addressed everyone and remembered Radhakrishnan Sarvepalli, former second President of India. He suggested not attaching the word 'Teacher' with anyone else in the world. The quality or attribute of a person is a teacher. He beliefs every good student is a good teacher, and every good teacher is a good student. He mentioned various relationships of life, which are no less than a teacher. He said one should remember that teacher remains a teacher whatever the situation is.
Dr. S. Arvind Pandey, Director, Law, Amity University, Jharkhand said that mother is the first teacher within the premises of house. No one know better than her the crying jargon of a baby. He spoke about the cultural differences and materialistic world of students these days. He further said teachers should not only provide bookish knowledge but also mold them in better human beings.
The programme concluded with a series of cultural performances presented by students.
