The Department of Law at Amity University Punjab proudly hosted the 2nd Intra Moot Court Competition, a dynamic two-day event that celebrated legal intellect, advocacy skills, and academic excellence. The competition served as a vibrant platform for students to hone their courtroom craft, legal reasoning, and teamwork — essential qualities for future legal professionals.
Inauguration & Day 1 Highlights
The event was inaugurated with great enthusiasm, marked by a warm welcome address from Prof. (Dr.) Jaspreet Kaur Majithia, Dean, Faculty of Law. The inaugural session included a symbolic sapling ceremony, promoting environmental consciousness alongside academic rigor.
The gathering was enriched by an inspiring keynote from Prof. (Dr.) Virender Kumar, Professor Emeritus, Panjab University Chandigarh, who spoke on the transformative role of mooting in legal education and its significance in shaping analytical and advocacy skills.
Preliminary Rounds:

The top 8 teams advanced to the quarter-finals, adjudicated by distinguished legal professionals who provided constructive feedback to sharpen the participants’ skills.

Day 2 Highlights & Grand Finale
Day 2 unfolded with intensity and enthusiasm as the semi-final rounds commenced. The semi-finals were judged by:

During the valedictory ceremony, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Mahavir Singh Chauhan (Former Judge, Punjab & Haryana High Court) graced the occasion as Chief Guest, inspiring students with reflections from his distinguished career in law and justice.
Dr. Pancham Preet Kaur provided a detailed summary of the competition, while student coordinators Hargun Singh and Shaurya Walia announced the results.
