Amity University Punjab kicked off the 2024 academic year with a lively and vibrant Freshers’ event titled "Genesis Gala - The Neo Welcome," designed to celebrate and welcome the incoming batch of students in true Gen Z style, with an electrifying neon theme. The event kicked off with high-energy performances from senior students, who set the stage on fire with dynamic dance routines and dramatic performances that had the crowd cheering. The excitement was amplified by the freshers themselves, who took part in a dazzling fashion show, showcasing their creativity and confidence on stage. The event went beyond just performances, as it also included fun and unique titles for participants, adding a playful touch to the celebrations and giving everyone a chance to shine.
The Genesis Gala also marked the grand finale of the week-long "Amity Got Talent" competition, where students had the opportunity to showcase their diverse talents, ranging from music and dance to poetry and comedy. The competition highlighted the vibrant spirit and creativity of the university community. The most anticipated moment of the evening was the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Amity Fresher, a title that symbolises the personality and charm of the brightest new stars. This year, Mr. Vikhyat from the B.Tech program was honoured with the title of Mr. Amity Fresher, while Ms. Naima from B. Pharma was crowned as Ms. Amity Fresher. In addition to these top honours, numerous other awards were presented to freshers who stood out for their exceptional talents and enthusiasm, making it a memorable evening for all involved.
