Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Punjab conducted the Internal Smart India Hackathon (SIH), showcasing the innovative talents of its students. Held at the university’s Mohali campus under the leadership of Prof. Rajni Mohana Dean, ASET and guidance of Dr. Himanshu Jindal, HoS, ASET, the event was a preliminary round of the national-level SIH, providing students with an opportunity to solve real-world challenges using technology.
The hackathon saw the participation of 13 teams, with a total of 78 students, demonstrating their skills in problem-solving, innovation, and teamwork. Solutions ranged from AI-powered traffic management systems to platforms for job and internship opportunities.
The judging panel, which included Ms. Swinky Sharma, CEO CyberForge Academy, Mr. Sampath Adhikray, Software Engineers and Researcher - CyberForge Academy, Prof. Shashi Bhushan, Amity University Punjab & Dr. Monika Bharti (Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering), industry experts, and faculty members, evaluated each project based on innovation, feasibility, and scalability. The top teams from the internal hackathon will represent the university at the national level, aiming to bring glory to Amity University Punjab.
