Green Campus

As per United Nation’s ‘Agenda 2030 Amity University Haryana is incorporating all possible measures to reduce its carbon footprint through active and passive measures ranging from building plan to day-to-day operations in terms of energy, water, material transport. Nature friendly building design maximise the natural light penetrations inside working area, while smart lighting with provision of LED further reduces the electricity consumption substantially. Use of efficient window glass, provision of huge sunken court and scope of ventilation along with rooftop solar PV plant provide optimal working condition and give scope for 20% lesser Air Conditioning electricity consumption. Since University campus falls in Semi-arid climate with extreme summer and winter, so university building have sunken court inside and sunken corridor along periphery reduce the heat extreme both in summer and winter. It is unique building design suitable for this area.

  • Unique building plan: Scope of natural lighting
  • Sunken Court (To reduce heat extreme)
    Use of energy efficient glass

  • Smart lighting: LED lighting
  • Roof Management: Entire roof is mounted with Solar PV

University also aligned to not just optimise its energy consumption but also strives to reduce its dependence to grid energy and shift to clean energy regime. Solar energy of 500Kv has been developed.

Rooftop Solar PV not only produce energy but also reduce AC consumption by reducing roof heating substantially.
Scope of Natural lighting reduce electricity consumption substantially
Sunken courts: A regional building feature that reduces the heat regime
