Events, festivals & other celebrations
Amitasha celebrates various events and festivals like Republic Day, Earth Day, Independence Day, Founders’s Day, Diwali, on an annual basis. The celebration of these special days apprises the students on the significance of various days. In addition, these celebrations also aid in personality development as students participate in a slew of competitions and activities as debate, poem writing, poster making etc, organised on these special occasions.
Independence Day-‘Azadi ki Umang-Amitasha ke Sang’
Amitasha Foundation Celebrates 77 th Independence Day-‘Azadi ki Umang-Amitasha ke Sang’
Students from different branches of Amitasha came together to celebrate the 77 th Independence Day with a patriotic program titled ‘Azadi Ki Umang-Amitasha Ke Sang’ on August 16, 2023 at AIS Saket.
During the programme several events were held including ‘Amitasha: Ek Udaan’ a video showcasing the journey of Amitasha. The kite flying activity titled ‘Amitasha ki udaan’ and ‘Green freedom’ wherein saplings were planted by the students, symbolizing their freedom of dreams and commitment towards making planet a better place to live. An inter Amity patriotic song competition saw Amitasha Saket, lift the winner’s trophy.
The occasion was graced by the presence of chief guest Santosh Kumar (IFS) Chief Vigilance Officer, NHPC who in his address lauded the performances and appreciated the endeavours of Amitasha in giving wings of dreams to the girls. Daniel Goldstein (Sanskrit and Math teacher) from United Kingdom graced the occasion as the special guest. Dr (Mrs) Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity Group of Schools and RBEF in her address blessed the girls and motivated them to work hard and to become strong and independent women in life.
The programme concluded with Amitasha alumni, Diksha Gupta and Akanksha Kumari (2022-23 batch), who are currently pursuing their graduation in AUUP Noida, express their heartfelt gratitude to Chairperson for giving them Amitasha, a platform for education and empowerment of less privileged girl child and AUUP for supporting them with scholarship to pursue their dreams.
