Creativity and talent exhibited itself par excellence when the students of Amity International School 46, Gurgaon, unleashed their hidden potentials and presented a panorama of cultural events at the Grand Finale of the Summer Fiesta Camp Verano held on 30th May 2013 in the school?s Multi Purpose Hall. The camp was scheduled during summer break from 13 May to 31 May 13 in the school campus itself and about 650 students right from class I to X took part in it. A plethora of activities right from fusion dance, sculpture, pottery, painting, personality development, cooking and banking, chess, skating to field activities like cricket, basketball, football etc kept them gainfully occupied for the entire span. Added to this were the yoga and calming down sessions, aerobics, motivational talks .The events culminated with an educational movie show. On the Grand Finale parents were invited to witness the confluence of creativity and confidence.

The event was graced by the presence of Ms. Jaishree Chauhan, Mr. B.N. Bajpai, Col. Ahluwalia, and the parent fraternity who together inaugurated the Finale by lighting the auspicious lamp.

The Finale unfolded itself with a stimulating speech by the Principal of AIS -46 , Mrs Arti Chopra whose unfathomable belief in the student potential as the torch bearers of the future was evident through the various performances of the day.

The Grand Finale offered a wide variety of menu on the platter to the audience. It was a true reflection of the creative learning that took place in the class rooms in the three weeks and was an apt example of how leisure time can put to optimum use by students. It started with a magnificent exhibition showcasing artefacts made out of waste material,sculptures,canvas paintings,meal planning display etc put up by the students of the Camp. A two hour cultural Programme which included Orchestra, Contemporary dance, Fusion dance, Artistic Yoga, Personality walk , skating , Taek won do.The Performance by Amity master chefs etc left the audience awestruck. The young Amity Chefs demonstrated their recipes on stage and served the mouth watering cuisines to the chief guests. The performers who ranged from age groups 6 to 15 years exhibited their skills and danced to a variety of tunes thus leaving the environment resounding with joy and ecstasy.

Verano The summer Camp was a brainchild of the Chairperson of Amity International Schools Mrs Amita Chauhan by whose grace and blessings the school was able to take it to great heights and live up to her vision. It was true epitomisation of her belief that summer vacation is an opportunity for the students to learn new creative skills and make them smarter, dynamic, sensitive and self disciplined. It was under the able guidance of Mrs. Arti Chopra Principal AIS 46, that the idea of a summer Camp took concrete shape.

The high point of the programme was that the show was completely steered and anchored by class IX students of Personality Development i.e. Isha Dogra and Tanvi Goel.
