GUIDELINES
Who can Apply for recommendation from the Incubator?
Any entity with the specifications of a Startup can apply for a recommendation According
to the government of India, an entity shall be considered as a Startup:
- Up to five years from the date of its incorporation or registration,
- If its turnover has not exceeded Rupees 25 crore for any of the financial years,
and
- If it is working towards innovation, development, deployment or commercialization
of new products, processes or services driven by technology or intellectual property.
Any entity formed by splitting up or reconstruction of a business already in existence
shall not be considered a startup.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR RECOMMENDATION
The following are the eligibility guidelines for any startup desirous of getting
a certificate of recommendation from Amity Innovation Incubator:-
- Organizations between 0-3 years of operations.
- Organizations/Startups with innovative technology or product solutions which are
scalable.
- Organizations creating / developing innovative new products within the current industry
to bring better efficiencies or cost savings.
- Organizations / Startups operating in the services sector which are not backed by
technology or novel execution shall not be taken up for recommendation

Phases of Certification for the Recommendation from Incubator:
- A startup desirous to get a recommendation has to fill up a questionnaire and attach
a presentation according to the prescribed format.
- In case, a startup is found eligible in phase 1, a list of documents has to be submitted
to the incubator for phase 2.
Required Documents for the Phase 2:
The following documents are required
to be submitted after getting the confirmation of approval of the first phase of
your application-
- Copy of Incorporation certificate issued by ROC or registered partnership deed as
applicable
- A self attested copy of audited account statements from the date of inception.
- A self attested copy of Income tax returns filed from the date of inception.
- An Undertaking duly signed by Founder(s) / Promoter(s) of the Startup on a letter
head.

NOTE- A startup found to be eligible in both the phase 1 as well as the phase
2 will be given the certificate of recommendation. Fulfilling the criteria for only
one phase will not be sufficient.
PROCESS OF RECOMMENDATION
- Organizations/ startups can apply online through :www.amity/edu/aii/startupindia
- Shortlisted organizations / startups shall receive e-mail from Amity Innovation
Incubator for personal interview and verification of documents (within 1-2 weeks)
- Upon successful completion of the interview and closure of the documentation, startup
shall be issued digital UIN along with the recommendation letter.
- 3rd parties may check for the authenticity of the recommendation by validating the
UIN through the following link: www.amity.edu/aii/startupindia-validate
PRICING
There is no processing fee levied by Amity Innovation Incubator.
