Annual Technical-Cum-Cultural Fest ACT’ 07 Inaugurated at Amity School of Engineering

ACT’ 07, Two Day Annual Technical-Cum-Cultural Fest of Amity School of Engineering (ASE) commenced from March 8, 2007, organized entirely by the students of Amity School of Engineering (ASE) at Amity University Campus, Noida. The festival was inaugurated by Mr. Osama AA Bari, Deputy Ambassador, Republic of Sudan along with Mr. Shijeyuki Shimamori, Counsellor Incharge of Culture & Education in Japanese Ministry; Mrs. Malgorzata Wejsis, Glolebiak Counsellor, Embassy of Republic of Poland; Prof. Andrzej Szelc, Vice President, International Relations; Mr. Rakesh Gupta, Director Engineering, Impetus Infotech; Mr. Anil Gupta, CEO, NEC-HCL System Techology, Mr. V.C. Sharma, Chairperson & Managing Director, Hospitality Services Consultancy Corporation Ltd and Mr. Arun Aggarwal, Dean, Maulana Azad Medical College.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Osama AA Bari, Deputy Ambassador, Republic of Sudan remarked, that by organizing such festivals soaring enthusiasm of students, who are trying their level best to give expression to their ideas, help in personality development. It is a rewarding experience to discover the unique ability to get more energized with each coming task instead of being tired and wished all the students best to the entire celebration”. He advised students that if at an early stage of their careers they imbibe professional approach towards ownership and accountability, no one can stop them to become most successful person in the entire globe.

Mr. V.C. Sharma, Chairperson & Managing Director, Hospitality Services Consultancy Corporation Ltd and Guest of Honour of the occasion while presenting his views said, “Today India growth rate has crossed projected growth and very soon India is going to be number two in economy. Government has not been able to meet the demands of the education sector and Amity has entered at the right time and has solved their problem to great extent. Just as academic excellence is not enough for success, all good institutions provide platforms like student bodies for organizing sports, cultural, publication, welfare, hostel management related events to develop motivated, smart, responsible, decisive professional leaders fully aware of ground realities with cutting edge instincts.”

Dr. Ashok K Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation remarked, “Indian mind is second to none in the world and can take on any challenge in technological and engineering field in the contemporary world. The challenges are there for socio-economic upliftment of the Indian masses, defence requirements of the country, exploration of nature on Earth and in space and creation of new resources of energy etc. Dr. Chauhan convincingly affirmed that these challenges could be met through only propagation of world-class quality education in Engineering and Technology. The dedication and zeal of students in ACT’07, truly proves that.”

This two day festival encompasses of software design contests, quizzes to cover all engineering fields, automobile design contest, technical paper presentation, circuit design contests and a host of other informal competitions like solo singing, choreography, personality contest, fashion show, antakshari, rock competition and stage play. 600 students from various Universities of Delhi, NCR such as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), IIT, Air Force Academy, IP University to name a few would be participating in various competitions. It will not only tease the brains of the participants, but will also provide a revelling outlet in cultural events. It will also expose students to an aesthetic and technical environment.
