Amity School of Distance Learning, Lucknow came into existence in the year 2004. In its second year of operation it has enrolled more than 250 students under various courses viz., MBA, MCA, PG Diploma Programmes. Since inception, prominent officials from various fields, Mr. Ajay Singh, Sr. IPS ADG- U.P. Forest, Mr. Ashok Dikshit, DFO – Faizabad, Mr. O.P. Singh, DFO- Sitapur, Mr. B. C. Tewari, DFO- Shahjahanpur, to name a few, have become a part of the institution and undertaken various courses.

Amity School of Distance Learning, Lucknow today enrolled present Cricket sensation in fast bowling, Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh as its student for MBA, 3 years course. Before taking admission, Mr. Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh visited the Auditorium and was pleased with the infrastructure provided by Amity. Amity Cultural Club band presented especially composed song for the ceremony. During the process of taking admission he showed keen interest in all procedures and completed all the formalities just like a normal student shedding away celebrity status. He met all faculty/staff with same enthusiasm as a new comer and requested for cooperation. Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh spent about an hour in the Campus and gave autograph to students.
Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus taking social responsibility towards the sportsperson from Uttar Pradesh who is from a small town Raibareli but making India proud at international level but did not have time to devote for regular studies so Amity University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow Campus offered this opportunity to Cricketer Mr. Rudra Pratap Singh for carrying out his studies through Distance Learning Programme parallel to bringing laurels to the country and making India proud internationally.
