3rd Mobile Legal Services Van in association with Amity Law School was flagged of from Patiala House Courts

Delhi Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in association with Amity Law School, Delhi Commission for Women, MTNL, MCD organized Lok Adalats at Patiala House Courts in which different types of disputes of the respective departments were taken up.

The 3rd Mobile Legal Services Van in association with Amity Law School was flagged of from Patiala House Courts by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Vijender Jain, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation. Justice M.K. Sharma, Chairman, Delhi Hogh Court Legal Services Committee, Kumari Selja, State Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Ms. Kiran Walia, Chairperson, Delhi Commission for Women, Mr. S.K. Arora, Executive Director, MTNL, Mr. Bhim Singh Bassi, Jt. Commissioner of Police, Ms. Divjot Kohli, Chief Accesor and Collector, MCD and Ms. Vandana Luthra, Managing Director, VLCC graced the occasion.

Justice Vijender Jain, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court said that this third Mobile Legal Servcies Van will be another milestone in the series of two earlier mobile vans which are already in place and catering the needs of the poor and down trodden people of Delhi who can not approach the courts on account of financial and other constraints. Hon’ble Chief Justice expressed his gratitude to the Amity Law School who have come forward to take justice at the doorstep.

Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President, Ritnand Balved Education Foundation said that he is feeling happy to be associated with Delhi Legal Services Authority. Dr. Chauhan observed that providing justice to one and all should be the mission of judicial system and by donating Mobile Legal Van to DLSA will be one small step in fulfilling this mission.

On the occasion, an informative booklet about the law on marriage and divorce was released by Kumari Selja, State Minister of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation.
