A Workshop on “A Primer on Python”

Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Amity University Gurgaon organized a three-days workshop on “A Primer on Python” based on python programming to provide a hands-on experience using “Anaconda” framework in python programming by Dr Vikas Thada (Associate Professor) Amity University Gurgaon from 19^th Dec to 21^st Dec 2017.

Dr Vikas began his session with the brief introduction of Python Language and shared that Python is a language used for teaching, research, games and developing software. Python language has the huge scope in the companies like Google, Microsoft, and Facebook because these companies are also using Python for developing cutting-edge technologies and software. Python has its role in data science, artificial intelligence, game programming, application development, hardware testing/development, robotics. Dr Vikas guided the students that Python has such a vide usage and it is an easy language that can easily be used to teach to entry-level students for understanding basics of programming and developing of small software. Use of turtle graphics, GUI and basic programming can be easily taught to anyone eager to learn to programme and be techno-savvy in programming.
