Amity School of Engineering & Technology organized National Workshop on “Graphotheraphy” on 18th August, 2017

Department of Applied Physics, Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University, Gwalior organized one day National Workshop on “Graphotheraphy” on 18th August 2017.  The aim of the workshop was to encourage the creative young minds to the study of Graphology, Calligraphy, Graphotheraphy and Lateral Thinking.  Approximately 50 faculty members and students from 10 different schools of Gwalior division participated in the Workshop.

The workshop started with the registrations of participants. The first session started with lateral thinking primer by Director ASET, Major Gen (Dr) S. C. Jain,VSM** (Retd).  

The welcome address and introduction to programme was given by the Masters of ceremony Ms. Kaushiki Agarwal and Ms Ashiwarya Singh. They also acquainted the participants about the Chief Guest of the event. Major Gen (Dr) S. C. Jain, VSM (Retd.)  enlightened the participants with the importance of Graphotheraphy. He also stressed on the importance that handwriting has in one’s life and how it can make a huge difference.

The resource person of the event, Mr. Y. Mallikarjuna Rao, Director National Hand Writing Academy, Hyderbad started with a thorough introduction of the field of graphotheraphy. In the first session participants learned about the art of calligraphy, followed by a hands-on training program. The students seemed enthusiastic during the session.

Post High-tea session focused mainly on the field of graphology. Mr Rao emphasised on the analysis of the physical characteristics and patterns of handwriting purporting to be able to identify the writer, indicating psychological state at the time of writing, or evaluating personality characteristics. 

Post Lunch session introduced the field of graphotheraphy to the participants. The keynote speaker discussed the importance of this form of reverse psychology which is accomplished through handwriting exercises specifically designed to bring about more desirable personality traits.

Post-Tea evening session was taken by Maj Gen (Dr) S. C. Jain, VSM (Retd)  on lateral thinking . Participants enjoyed a practical training session by use of various tools to help improve their out of the box thinking.
