Faculty Development Program on “Google Power Searching & Information Management"
Amity School of Communication, Amity University Gurgaon organized a Faculty Development Program on "Google Power Searching & Information Management and Corpus Approaches to Communication Research", by Dr. Umesh Arya on 8th July 2017. Dr. Umesh Arya is a Google certified power searcher and specialized in “Corpus approaches to communication studies” and “ICTs application in social sciences”. He had a rich experience of more than 550 Lectures in India and abroad on the various topics relating to technological applications in media studies and his Ph.D. findings are published on the website of United Nations Public Administration Network. He is also associated with Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar and has 35 publications in national and international journals.
During his session he had gave hands on training to the participants on different softwares like Link Clump and Copernic and discussed its relevance to social science research. The FDP was organized in four sessions in which first two sessions was dealt with Google Power Searching & Information Management and rest two session was focused on Corpus Approaches to Social Science Research. The FDP was attended by participants from different schools of Amity University Gurgaon and Research scholars from ASCO. The FDP also served as a platform for hands on training for the participants.
