Amity University Madhya Pradesh organized a Guest Lecture of Dr. A Venkadesh Babu, I.R.S. Assistant Narcotics Commissioner Central Bureau of Narcotics on 12th July, 2017 on the topic “Drug Prevention and Awareness”.
Drug addiction in recent years has become a matter of major concern in recent years for the society and the nation alike. Youngsters are getting addicted to this vice at an alarming rate. The lecture of Dr. Babu was an attempt to check this menace from spreading further.
In his lecture Dr. Babu spoke of the ill-effects of drugs and how to stay away from this bad habit. He also added that the youth experiment with drugs out of curiosity or social pressure and then become addicted to them.
The lecture was attended by all the III semester students of all the departments of AUMP.
The lecture was graced also by the presence of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.), Pro-Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Prof. (Dr) M P Kaushik, Registrar, Mr. Rajesh Jain and all the Deans, Directors, HoIs, HoDs and faculty of the departments.
The students were highly benefitted by the lecture and Amity University Madhya Pradesh will continue to raise awareness of students against drug use in days to come.
