Dr. R K Thakur (Program Director) introduced how effectively we can use few commonly used built-in functions for scientific computing and discuss how to solve various types of differential equations including non-stiff and stiff Initial Value Problems IVPs, the system of IVP’s.

Dr. Naresh Chadha (HOD Mathematics Department) took the technical session of the FDP. He began his session with the introduction of MATLB as a super calculator, programming platform, plotting software and Introduction to programming using script and function files. The Session was further continued about Calling functions into a script file and interaction between various function files. He had discussed Program organisation & algorithm development and some of the interdisciplinary research problems. Dr. Naresh Chadha concluded the session by brief discussion on How to solve various types of differential equations including non-stiff, stiff initial value problems (IVP), system of IVPs.
