Amifest 2017 (Two day annual techno-management fest)

 Amifest 2017, the two days techno-management fest organized by Amity University, Gurgaon was inaugurated on 14 February 2017 by Vice Chancellor Dr. P.B. Sharma.

 In this Technology, Management and Innovation theme based event, More than 500 students of AUG showcased the myriad talents in the field of art and culture or in the sphere of technology and engineering. While on the one hand, the festival witnessed excellent performances on the dance stage, supremely talented students regaled the audiences with brilliant singing on the other.

 Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Vice Chancellor said, “Amity University is the research and innovation driven University, I feel immense pride today that the students of our University are reaching great heights and making the University and our country proud globally.

Prof. Dr. Padmakali Banerjee, Pro Vice Chancellor, AUG encouraged the students to live a vibrant and purposeful life.

A total of 15 colleges and Universities participated in Amifest 2017 including Deen Dayal Upadhyay College, Delhi University, DCAC, Delhi University, GITM and other reputed Universities of Delhi NCR such as IGNOU, GD Goenka, K.R. Mangalam, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Science, Delhi University, North Cape University, Bharti Vidyapeeth, KIIT University and Luxury Connect Business School.

Innovation Exhibitions were organised by ASET (technology and innovation), ASAP (planning and architecture) and ASFA (art and design) in which students showcased their brilliant and skillful innovations of their work.

A major highlight of the grand finale of Amifest 2017 was the spectacular fashion fiesta which captured the imagination of the audience like never before. Students of fashion design and technology showcased their creations on the ramp cheered by a massive show of strength from the students. The glittering fashion event was preceded by Battle of Bands and Group dance. which drew tremendous applause from the audience as the multi-faceted character of students came to the fore. 

Technical skills of the students were on full display as they participated in several technical events including Robo race, technical paper presentation, circuit designing, LAN gaming, MATLAB, and MCAD. The events were well attended and successfully completed.

 Maj. Gen. GS Bal honored the winner students of various technical and cultural competition.

In the closing ceremony, Pro Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Padmakali Banerjee congratulates students to organize Amifest successfully. 

Amifest 2017 ended with the students feeling one with the ethos of Amity University Gurgaon where talent and spirit are celebrated and promoted.
