Amity College of Nursing Conducted Family awareness program at Primary Health Centre, Bhora Kalan, Gurgaon.Population explosion has been India’s major problem since Independence. Adoption of family planning method is one of the best solutions to tackle this problem. The nationwide family planning program was started in India in 1952 making it the first country in the world to do so. In order to contribute for this program for the overall progress of our country.

Family Planning Awareness Program was conducted by B.Sc. Nursing (Internship) Students of AMITY College of Nursing, AUH on December 20th , 2016 at Primary Health Centre, Bhora Kalan Gurgaon, Haryana. The Students did a wonderful job under the guidance of Mrs. Rachna Rai Sharma , Assistant Professor and  Mrs. Rashmi Panchal, Assistant Professor, Amity College of Nursing.

The students  spread awareness to the local people of the village about family planning services available, their usage and benefits and motivated them to avail the services and contribute for the progress of the nation. In addition, the students also aware the people about consequences of overpopulation in the form of a ‘Role Play’ considering the ‘Small Family Norm’.

Dr. Hazari Lal (S.M.O), Dr. Aditya (M.O), All Staff Members , PHC, Bhora Kalan, Gurgaon appreciated the efforts of students for this thoughtful awareness.
