Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Gurgaon organized workshop on Python Programming on 9thNovember 2016 . Python is a widely used high-level, general-purpose, interpreted, dynamic programming language. Its design philosophy emphasizes on code readability, and its syntax allows programmers to express concepts in fewer lines of code than possible in languages such as C++ or Java. The language provides constructs intended to enable writing clear programs on both small and large scale.
Mr. Pulkit Pahwa, Speaker from Python Technology informed the audience that Python is now becoming a new working platform for IT professionals due to its growing demand in various fields like robotics, data analysis and sciences etc. and therefore the industries prefer to switch from their current working environment to python. Python is used in nearly every field, such as Tasks ranging from system automation, testing and ETL to gaming, CGI and Web development, Mozilla uses Python to explore its extensive code base and releases tons of open source packages built in Python, Even NASA has used Python in its projects as it is easy to handle Big data using Python, He added.
Students get hands on experience in designing small project modules using Python like designing GUI for their project and the importance of Python in industry.
