Guest lecture on Process of Law Making organized by Amity Law School

Around 400 Law Students attended session of Mr. K.R. Saiji kumar, ILS, Joint Secretary and Legislative Counsel, Ministry of Law and Justice, Govt. of India, organized by Amity Law School, Gurgaon. He addressed the students on "Process of Law Making"

In a very interesting manner, Mr. Saiji Kumar connected the Law Making Process to that of movie or a drama making. In his Presentation, he explained each step involved in the drafting, vetting, and discussions in the Parliament till the accent accorded by the President to convert a Bill into Act. He explained the concept, forms and dynamism of Law and its Legislation. He apprised that Law making goes through a democratic process of which all three pillars, Executive, Legislature and Judiciary, play an equally important role.  Underlining the importance of Rule of Law in the society by placing it into the basic needs of human being for survival , Mr Saji kumar touched upon the huge scope of Law as a profession. He stressed the need for the students in not only becoming good Lawyers but also good human beings.

The Session was interactive and generated a lot of enthusiasm not only among the they took keen interest in the Lecture by asking various questions which were aptly replied by the Speaker.
