Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp at Amity University Gurgaon organized by Amity Innovation and Incubator

A 3 day EAC was organized in collaboration with Amity Innovation Incubator. 182 students submitted their entrepreneurial ideas for entrepreneurship. 22 teams were later formed and were trained further to translate the ideas into entrepreneurship and start up. On the Day 1 The auditorium housed around 500 students from various fields of management, science and commerce. Dr. Vikas Madhukar, the Faculty lead for Entrepreneurship at Gurgaon Campus opened up floor with an inspirational speech. Next, he invited Ayan  Kumar Bandyopadhyay, Senior Manager, Amity Innovation Incubator to address the students. Ayan presented his topic: ‘Startup With Amity Innovation Incubator.’

Day 1 ended with 40 student entrepreneurs who nominated themselves to seek support from the incubator. 

Day 2 saw more excitement from the students. The day was focussed on technology giants such as Apple, Google, Microsoft, Whatsapp, Linkedin, Facebook, Ipods, Ola, Flipkart, Practo, Red Bus etc. Arunachalam Muruganantham social entrepreneur, awarded Pama Shri by GoI and their address...The objective was to create a sense of responsibility amongst student entrepreneurs by creating entrepreneurial mindsets. The talks also focused on the best reasons to start a company - ‘to create Meaning and Change the World, rather than pursuing Money and building mediocrity!’The video of a Coimbatore based Social Entrepreneur, Arunachalam Muruganantham, who innovated on grass root mechanisms for generating mass awareness about traditional unhygienic practices in rural India was played. The story inspired the biotech student community. The day ended with 105 new registrations taking the total tally to 145 Registrations.

Day 3 - The Final Day

The last day witnessed all B-Tech and M-Tech enthusiasts. Varun Agarwal is a first generation Indian Entrepreneur, cofounder of Alma Mater Store and author of ‘How I braved Anu Aunty and Co-founded a Million Dollar Company.’ The video of yet another icon who at the age of 25 was already a filmmaker, an entrepreneur and a bestselling author was played. From failing several times to co-founding a million dollar company, Varun Agarwal happened to be a good case for the audience.
