Amity College of Nursing,Gurgaon organized Awareness Programme on Substance Abuse
Amity College of Nursing, Amity University Gurgaon organized Awareness Programme on Substance Abuse on 22nd September 2016at PHC Kasan. The aim of conducting this Programme was to increase the awareness about harmful effects of substance abuse or drug abuse and ways to get rid of habit of substance abuse among people. People abuse substances such as drugs, alcohol, and tobacco for varied and complicated reasons, but it is clear that our society pays a significant cost.
Drug overdose may also cause death. Hence it’s very important for the public to be aware about the ill effects of substance abouse and ways to get rid off its bad habit. The programme was appreciated by audience and Medical Officer of PHC Kasan, Gurgaon, and refreshment was given to all the audience and CHC staff by students as a token of love.
The role play was presented in very interesting way to make audience aware . The participants expressed that the health education was very informative and highly beneficial to them. Efforts of students were acknowledged by Medical Officer and PHC staff of Kasan, Gurgaon. The session ended with a vote of thanks by the group.
