As a part of welcome induction program of BBA 2016-17 batch, Amity Business School conducted management games for for them with help and support of very talented and hardworking students of BBA Semester 3 and Semester 5.
The fundamental purpose of management games is to make a students interact with their classmates, get to know each other, learn to cooperate ,learn team building for being good future management professionals. Management Games are also referred to as Ice breaking sessions. These ice breaking sessions were conducted among 65 students from the Semester I Batch of BBA.
Before the induction program, every faculty member introduced themselves and briefed the students about the Amity University and it's academic culture. After faculty introduction, students were were shown some management movies and clips.
Management movies: Visuals have create a greater impact on our minds " What see, we believe and that is how our personality is moulded. Movies and clips are like a storytelling that enlighten them to work hard, bounce back after failure, how one needs to manage themselves in crises and how choices are made under uncertainty.
After the management movie, ice breaking session was conducted.
Blindfold Rope game: In this ice breaking session students are divided into team(5-8 students). Every member of the team is blindfolded and is ask to stand in a line. Each team is given a rope and is asked to make a shape. The purpose of the game is team building, to develop trust and communication, cooperate with each other
Dares: In this ice breaking session, a student are given a quirky task which they have to perform in front of other students. It gives a lot of confidence to students to perform in front of others and they get to know a lot of about themselves as well as other students too get to know their classmate.
Questionnaire on movie: The purpose of questionnaire on movie was to essentially understand the comprehensiveness of the students.
Talent Hunt: The talent hunt was organized so that students can showcase their skills in dancing, singing, acting etc. Talent hunt gives a confidence to feel good about themselves and also encourage them do well in extra curricular activities
All students thoroughly enjoyed the management games. They also began interacting openly with each as well as their seniors. The whole idea was to break the shell and to the get the best out of the student.
