Amity School of Communication Amity University Gurgaon Organized a workshop on different type of multimedia tools by Mr. Stanislas Dembinski Editor-in-Chief of Media India Group (MIG). He discussed how MIG, which was founded ten years ago and is global platform for bringing Europe and India together. MIG covers story about art and culture, environment. A renowned journalist, Mr. Dembinski highlighted some of the key features of MIG including specialized media consulting both in Europe and India. The workshop mainly focused on how a journalist can use the different multimedia tools to reach out to their audience in an objective manner.

He highlighted the differences between an Indian and European News Agency. According to him, Indian news agencies  tends to sensationalize a news item. Hence, for writing a news story for the European audience, one must keep in mind to be more objective. He also added that to keep the audience absorbed in a news story, journalists can use other mediums such as video-articles, twitter hash tags or print stories. Mr. Dembinski informed the students about the different qualities and skills one must possess to be a better journalist so that they prepare themselves for their career in journalism. Followed by his presentation, Ms. Archika Kapoor took over the dais. Ms. Kapoor discussed about the various points which a journalist should keep in mind while writing a news item.
