On 15th,August, India celebrates its 70th Independence Day. Independence Day is a day when people in India pay homage to their leaders and those who fought for India's freedom in the past. The period leading up to Independence Day is a time when major government buildings are illuminated with strings of lights and the tricolor flutters from homes and other buildings. The Day of Proud For all the Indians that is 70th Swantantra Diwas of our nation.
In Amity University Mumbai,the event begin with the Introduction on Independence day,delivered by Mr.Colonel Joe Purakel ( Retd ), Director Security - Amity University Mumbai.
The students from Ami - Cult ( A Cultural Club) from Amity Mumbai started sang some patriotic songs on Independence day followed by a speech given by Hon. Dr. V V khole - Vice Chancellor of Amity University Mumbai addressing every one on how we must pay a tribute and to the leaders who fought for India's freedom and we must be thankful to them.Later, concluding the ceremony by singing a Patriotic song sang by a student of AUM.
Hon. Dr. V V khole - Vice Chancellor AUM ,Dr. Anil Srivastava - Registrar AUM, Mr. Upadhyaya - Project Director AUM, Ms.Savita Mehta - Vice President Communications ,Amity University Noida ,were also invited as a Chief Guest by Madhyamik Vidya Mandir - A local School in the Village of Bhatan.
