Amity School of Engineering and Technology, Amity University Gurgaon organized guest lecture on Computational Paradigms for Big Data Analytics in Interdisciplinary on 25th July 2016 by Dr. Sumit Dua. The agenda of the lecture was to discuss and explore various horizons in today’s current topic “Big Data”.
The lecture by Dr. Sumeet Dua started with the term of Big Data. The talk was mainly focused on the paradigm shift from raw data into big data where data plays a vital role in today’s era. Various views of data mining and several applications of Big Data Analytics were also discussed. He also talked about the evolution of Data Science along with multi-dimensional view of Data Mining. Maj. Gen. V. K. Narang emphasized on the importance of “Big Data” and changes in this area. He laid emphasis on the need of facilitating extensive research in core areas as well.
The guest speaker mentions various research areas and also explains how Big Data is playing a key role in today’s era.
