Plantation Drive

Plantation drive has been organized by National Service Scheme Units of Amity University Rajasthan Jaipur on 29 July 2016. On this occasion 250 plants of Gulmohar were planted on road sides in the campus. It would be worth to mention here that last year the NSS units planted 500 plants, out of them 60% could survive and this plantation drive was to replace the non surviving plants.  On this occasion (Retd.) G. S. Rathore welcomed the gathering and he appreciated the efforts of volunteers and support of administration. Honorable vice chancellor Prof. S. K. Dube, while addressing the gathering shared that plantation and care of growing plants is important. He informed that plantation will help in mitigating effects of global warming.  Pro-Vice chancellor Prof. S. L. Kothari visited whole plantation area and advised for special care of some infected plants. Saplings were planted by one and all present in this event.


On this occasion support of Dr. Manoj Kumar, Dr. Ratnadeep Roy, Mr. Sachin Bansal (officers of NSS) and other faculty members namely Dr Era Upadhyay, Dr. Rahul Tripathi, Ms. Saniya, Dr. Sanket Kaushik, Dr. Tarun Kumar Sharma, Mr. Jitender Rajpurohit and S S Nanda was appreciable. Presence of Maj Gen C P Singh (Retd), Dean Student welfare, Prof. Vijay Singh Dahima, Prof. G. K. Aseri, Group Captain Ajoy Mudaliyar (Retd) along with heads of institutes and several faculty members made the event gracious. It also motivated the student volunteers for this international cause.
