Amity College of Nursing, Amity University Gurgaon Celebrated Swatch Bharat abhiyan on 8th June 2016 at General Hospital, Gurgaon. A Role Play was conducted by the students of B.Sc. Nursing VI Semester & VIII Semester under the supervision of Ms. Parul Saini and Mr. Bhartender, Assistant Professor, Amity College of Nursing.
The main objective of this abhiyan is:-
1.To eradicate the system of open defecation in India.
2. To encourage people to convert the insanitary toilets into pour flush toilets.
3. To remove the system of manual scavenging.
4. To make people aware of healthy sanitation practices by bringing behavioural changes in people.
The title and the theme of the event were introduced to the audience with the help of a chart and a speech by Ms. Angel and Ms. Rekha. The various aspects of Swacch Bharat Abhiyan were covered by the students with the help of comprehensive role play. After role play all the queries of the audience were answered. The participants expressed that the education given to them was very informative and highly beneficial to them.
The session ended at 11 am with a vote of thanks by the group.
