AMITY COLLEGE OF NURSING ORGANIZED AWARENESS PROGRAMME ON TUBERCULOSIS

Amity College of Nursing, Amity University Gurgaon organized awareness programme on Tuberculosis on 20th May 2016 at CHC Pataudi, Gurgaon, by BSc (H) Nursing IV Sem Students under the Supervision and Guidance of Ms. White Rose, MSN, RNRM Tutor, Community Health Nursing, Amity College of Nursing.

The aim of conducting this Programme was to increase the awareness about Tuberculosis and its prevention among people. India is the country with the highest burden of TB. The World Health Organization (WHO) statistics for 2014 give an estimated incidence figure of 2.2 million cases of TB for India out of a global incidence of 9 million.

The programme was appreciated by audience and Medical Officer of CHC Pataudi, Gurgaon. In the end of the programme an open discussion round was conducted for clarifications of audience myths regarding Tuberculosis.

The programme ended up with the  queries of the audience were answered. The participants expressed that the health education was very informative and highly beneficial to them and the the slogan to all Audience-“HUM SABKA H EK HI NARA TB MUKT HO DESH HUMARA” Efforts of students were acknowledged by the MO (Dr. Dashrat) and  CHC staff of Pataudi, Gurgaon. The session ended with a vote of thanks by the group.
