A Report on Faculty Development Programme on “Leveraging Research Tools for Quality Research” on 5-7 February 2016
Amity University Gurgaon (Haryana) organized Faculty Development Programme on the topic “Leveraging Research Tools for Quality Research” ,which was held on 5 & 7 Feb,2016. The main purpose of this program was to inculcate the clarity of various concepts of research to the Ph.D scholars. A Total of 37 scholars participated in this program.
On the first day, Inaugural of the event was graced by Hon’ble Pro Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee, Prof (Dr) R.C. Sharma, Dr Bhavna Adhikari and Dr Vikas Madhukar. Dr. Hemant Sharma covered many important topics mainly including types of research design, measurement and scales, data editing and introduction to various parametric and non-parametric statistical tools etc.
Dr. Hemant Sharma, Programme Faculty (FDP), Apart from discussing the exploratory data analysis, he covered many important statistical tools that are used in research frequently. He mainly discussed hypothesis testing, student’s t-test, ANOVA, simple and multiple regression etc.
Dr. Sunil Kumar (Asstt. Professor) first discussed the concept and then demonstrated the same using the SPSS software. In valedictory session, Dr Vikas Madhukar, Dy. Director, ABS(Amity Business School), Amity University Gurgaon passed a vote of thanks to all the participants and the members of organizing committee and distributed the certificate of participation to all candidates.
