Amity University Gurgaon (Haryana) celebrated “Nepal National Day” on 4 March 2016

The Office of International Affairs organized Nepal National day celebrations for all the students at Amity University Gurgaon. The campus has the presence of over 150 International students from around 20 different countries, with Nepalese students as the second largest community.

The Nepalese students at the campus celebrated the event in traditional style and the event was graced by senior officials at Amity University Gurgaon. The event also witnessed other eminent officials, Mr. B.P.S Chauhan Exe- Director- Amity Power Management and Mr. Mayank  Singhal  Director- Administration. 

The dignitaries presented during the celebrations opened the event with the cake cutting ceremony. To commemorate the sovereignty of their nation, National anthem of Nepal was played whereby the audience stood up and sang the anthem. The students had prepared cultural program that comprised traditional dances, patriotic songs and ramp show. International students at Amity University Gurgaon (Haryana) performed folk dances highlighting based upon Nepal’s culture. Students also sang patriotic songs and national songs along with the band. They shared some interesting and amusing insights about their country depicting there landscape, flora and fauna and tourist places. The event was also attended by faculty members and students from various schools at Amity University Gurgaon and the event was very well appreciated by the audience.
