Amity School of Engineering & Technology organized Industrial Visit to TERI RETREAT
Amity School of Engineering & Technology, Gurgaon organized industrial visit to “TERI RETREAT” (for the students of civil engineering department) on 11 March 2016.The students were guided by Mr. Suresh Kumar Dev (Admin. Officer) and his team mate Mr. Umesh of TERI RETREAT. The visit was organized so that the students could understand the practical applicability of sustainable construction; As TERI RETREAT is built as a model training complex, which demonstrates efficient utilization of energy, sustainable and integrated use of both natural resources and renewable energy technologies, and efficient waste management.
The students were explained about every aspect of Solar Roof top, Earth Air tunnels Cool and Warm Natural Air-conditioning through EAT System Underground tunnels. The student queries about design and various considerations taken in the design of the self sustained building was solved by Mr. Umesh. The visit was informative and gave a good knowledge about the green building and how the building can be made self-sustained.
