I2B- IDEA TO BUSINESS, 2016"

There are many reasons to promote entrepreneurship among young people; however, we should accept that not all young minds could become entrepreneurs, in wealth creation and job creation process. It is therefore important to underline that entrepreneurial skills can help youth adapt well to other non-entrepreneurial careers. With this as a mission, Amity’s Entrepreneurship Cell (E- Cell) nurtured by Amity Business School, Amity University, Lucknow, organized its Annual event “I2B- IDEA TO BUSINESS, 2016, with SIDBI as the Principal Sponsor and Lava as Prize Sponsor, Hindustan Times as Media Partner, Venture Nursery as Acceleration Partner and Head Start Foundation as Knowledge Partner. This event was addressed to youth that can play a role in raising awareness in young people about the entrepreneurial potential of their “Ideas”. The one day event was designed in two parts: Part 1: Idea 2 Business Presentation The event comprised from Choosing a Category, Idea Screening, Idea Revision and ending with the final presentation of Business Ideas to the panel of judges. After initial screening of ideas, more than 50 plans were submitted and finally, 16 ideas were nurtured on the day of Finale. Part 2 Seminar on Entrepreneurship, with six lead experts from industry, academia government was pitched in an interactive session amongst speakers, lasting 3 hours. The experts inclued • Mr. Pankaj Sharma (Founder- Valentia Farm Fresh Milk), • Mr. Paresh Gupta (Country Head-Headstart Network), • Dr. Smita Singh (Faculty- AUT University), • Mr. Anirudh Suri (Founder, India Internet Fund), • Shri Anjani Srivastava (Dy. General Manager, SIDBI) and • Mr. Girish Shivani (Executive Director and Fund Manager, YourNest Angel Fund). The WINNER of I2B 2016, Mr K. N. S Reddy from Bangalore shared his Business Innovation Model on ‘Reduction of fuel consumption in all IC Engines’, Ist Runner-up Innovative Idea was d’tiffin- an online market place for tiffin and the 2nd Runner-up were “Raddibecho.com” offering innovative feasible solution to sell scrap/junk/unused products from your place.
