Amity Business School organizes National Seminar on “Emerging Global Perspective towards Business Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities”
A National Seminar titled “Emerging Global Perspective towards Business Leadership: Challenges and Opportunities” was organised on 16th Oct. 2015 by Amity Business School, Amity University Gwalior.
In today’s dynamic global economy, ability to be agile and responsive to change is very important. The globalization of competition has made it clear that, to be successful in global markets, organizations must not only understand their potential buyers, but also should learn to compete effectively with other organizations. It is the business leadership of an organization that becomes instrumental in facilitating such understanding and learning across the organization. The objective of National Seminar was to throw light on the emerging global trends towards business leadership and various challenges and opportunities for the contemporary and future managers and leaders.
The seminar theme provided an excellent opportunity for the delegates-researchers, academicians, policymakers and other professionals working in these areas to interact with each other, share their views and provide guidance young researchers.
The inaugural session of the seminar started with the traditional lighting of the lamp followed by the opening remarks of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma AVSM (Retd.). Mr. Ragunath Medge, President of the Mumbai Dabbawala Association was the Guest of Honour for the occasion while Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Director and Chairman FMS, MS University, Udaipur graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The dignitaries along with Dr. Anil Vashisht, Director Amity Business School, also released the Book of Proceedings on this occasion.
Prof. (Dr.) M.P Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Madhya Pradesh was the Session Chairperson in the Technical Session I, which was co-chaired by Dr. Manoj Pandey, Faculty, Amity Business School. Eminent Speakers in this session of the seminar were Prof. Karunesh Saxena, Director and Chairman FMS, MS University, Udaipur, Dr. Abhishek Mishra, Professor IIM Indore and Dr. Mahima Thakur, Professor FMS Delhi University. The concluding remarks were presented by Session Chairperson Prof. (Dr.) M.P Kaushik, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amity University Madhya Pradesh.
The Technical Session II was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Sujit Kr. Dubey, Professor Banaras Hindu University and co-chaired by Mr. Rajiv Dwivedi, Convener, Amity Business School. The Keynote address was given by Dr Manoj Patwardhan, Professor, ABV- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management, Prof.Rekha Singhal, Professor Indian Institute of Forest Management and Dr. Ajay Sharma, Professor IIM Indore. The concluding remarks were presented by the Session Chairperson Prof.(Dr.) Sujit Kr. Dubey, Professor Banaras Hindu University.
The Valedictory Session of the seminar was chaired by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt. Gen. V. K. Sharma AVSM (Retd.). Prof. (Dr.) Sujit Kr. Dubey was the Guest of Honour for the session. Mr. Amit Tiwari from IITTM, Gwalior was given a cash prize, certificate and a memento for the best paper presentation in this session. The session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Anil Vashisht, Director, Amity Business School and Organising Secretary of the seminar.
