Sangathan at Amity University is the celebration marking the spirit of sportsmanship, ardour, dreams, determination, leadership, success and commitment of Honourable Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan, Founder President of Amity Group.
The month-long celebrations of Sangathan culminate on the birth anniversary of Dr. Ashok K. Chauhan with a magnificent felicitation ceremony organized at all the campuses of Amity.
It all started in 1999 with its main focus on athletics gradually reaching up to 21 sports. This year, the grandeur of Sangathan reached a new high with students getting the opportunity of competing in as many as 40 sports events. March-past by different schools of the university has also been included in the competitive category from this year. Sangathan 2015 began on September 3rd and will be declared closed on October 17,2015. This sports meet of Amitians is a much awaited event and is celebrated with immense enthusiasm every year.
The Opening Ceremony
The opening ceremony of the mega sports event Sangathan 2015 commenced with the blessings of our Founder President on 3rd September. The entire campus of Amity University Gurgaon reverberated with the spirit of this mammoth event as the Sangathan flame was lighted by Deputy Vice Chancellor Major General BS Suhag, joined by Pro Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee and Dean Students Welfare Major Gen GS Bal in the presence of heads of institutions, faculty members and the students. The enthusiastic students of the university carried the Sangathan torch through the campus symbolizing the commencement of the grand Sangathan 2015.
