CSR Activity: Donation FOR EARTH QUAKE VICTIMS by Students
DONATION HANDED OVER TO THE AMBASSADOR OF NEPAL FOR EARTH QUAKE VICTIMS
In the aftermath of the earthquake that devastated Nepal during May 2015, Rs. 55,000/- was donated by the students, staff and faculty of Amity University Gurgaon, for providing relief to the earthquake victims. The amount was handed over to Mr. Deep Kumar Upadhay for his Excellency, The ambassador, Embassy of Nepal, on 18th Aug 2015 by the DSW Major Gen Gurpal Singh Bal accompanied by staff members Ms Shuchi Dwivedi and Mr. Hamza Yousif and a Nepalese student Mr. Nikesh Tajik Rayamajhi. The interaction of the delegation from Amity University Gurgaon (AUG) with The Ambassador was cordial and informal. The Ambassador expressed his appreciation towards the noble gesture made by AUG. He also acknowledged the important role being played by AUG in educating s 50 Nepalese students. He informed me that his grand daughter is studying in the 8th standard at Amity International School, Sector 44, Noida.
