The Center for Entrepreneurship and Leadership at Amity Business School (ABS), organized a two-day mega event
“Tatva… The Element of Success” & “Oorja- CRM & Marketing Summit” at Amity Campus, Noida on March 23-24’ 2005.
The two-day event was inaugurated by the
Chief Guest, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Former Chief Minister, Jammu & Kashmir. The Guest of Honour, Mr. Mohit Goyal, Director Xansa India Ltd & Director- SCICOM blessed the occasion with their esteemed presence.
Dr. Farooq Abdullah said, “I am happy to see a new generation here, with new passion, new hope, amazing talent and charisma”. He further added, “There will be challenges in every step that you move ahead in life, it’s the passion to succeed, the education and the strong belief in oneself and god that will drive you through”.
Mr Mohit Goyal, shared his comprehension & knowledge and appreciated the efforts of the students. He stated “If you enjoy the work that you do, you don’t have to work any day. The art of effective working is when you take your passion and dream into your balance sheet” further he emphasized on the growing needs for smart entrepreneurs in the growing competitive environment.
Mr. Atul Chauhan, President- Ritnand Balved Education Foundation thanked the corporates for their august presence, and lauded the efforts of students.
“There has to be a mission in every individual’s life and one must lay a road map to that mission. At Amity the road map for students is Professional Attitude, Sanskars, and Patriotism”, said Mr. Chauhan.
The event provided the practicing managers with a platform to share their industry experience with the young managers in the making. Present on the occasion were the esteemed dignitaries from the industry who were honored with “Amity Excellence Awards”. Amity Leadership Award for Innovative HR Practices was bagged by Dr. S Chandrashekhar, People Relationship Management. Dr Surinder Kapur, Chairman & MD, Sona Koyo Steering System was honored with Amity Leadership Award for Quality Excellence & Amity Entrepreneurial Excellence Award went to Mr. Sanjeev Bikhchandani, CEO- Naukri.com. Mr Santrupt Misra, Director, Aditya Birla Group was awarded with Amity Leadership award for HR Excellence.
Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) won Prashna, the quiz contest of Corporate versus B- Schools, giving a tough competition to NTPC, IIT, New Holland Tractors. The quiz was mastered by the quiz master Derek O’Brien, present on the occasion he commented that he believes in “Making learning fun and it was great fun learning and quizzing at Amity”.
Few of the main elements for the two day festival were- Lakshya- Business plan competition. Essential- The research paper competition. Prashna- Quiz, mastered by Derek O’Brien & Mrigtrishna- Cultural Evening.
