Amity University Madhya Pradesh organizes a “Workshop on Life Skills” on 29th to 31st March 2017

Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior in association with Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNYID), Chandigarh organised a three day workshop on ‘Training on Life Skills’ from 29th-31st March, 2017. The workshop was attended by more than hundred students from different streams.

The 3-day workshop in cooperated multiple team building exercises, with how to increase creative thinking, leadership quality, decision making and the merits of always adapting to a positive outlook and attitude.

On the first day of the workshop Mr. Abhinav Thakur, Mr. Jigmeet and Retd. Col. Jasjeet guided the students over how to hone their skills and eliminate their flaws.

Dr. Sumit Narula, Director, Amity School of Communication trained the participants over how to become successful by rising above conflicts, struggles and adversities in life.

The second day of the workshop was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Pro-Vice Chancellor, Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Prof. Dr M.P Kaushik who enlightened the students about the importance of ‘Team Work’ in Corporate as well as Personal Aspects of life. Furthermore he explored many psychological facets of team building and proclaimed that a leader should be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of his team mates and should possess innate skills to motivate and influence a group to work together. Special training programme by Mr. Abhinav Thakur and Mr. Jigmeet was aimed at teaching students about creative thinking and work challenges prevalent in a coorporate environment.

The third day continued with session on the Idea, Planning and Implementation by Prof. (Dr.) Anil Vashisht, Director, Amity Business School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh. The participants were re-invigorated by the motivational lecture delivered by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP Lt Gen V. K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) as he deliberated upon the process of decision making with special emphasis on Forced Decision Making Matrix.

The workshop ended with a closing ceremony with distribution of Certificates and Appreciation cards to the students and the guests.
