Workshop on surface ornamentation
Workshop on “Surface Ornamentation” was organised by Amity School of Fashion Design & Technology on 16th January 2018 for its Fashion & Interior Design students to create awareness about the techniques of dyeing & printing & to encourage creativity and innovation under the supervision of Ms Raka Sharma (Textile Designer).
Ms Raka Sharma begins her session with brief on various techniques of folding or tying fabric along with block printing to create different designs then students were taught the process to tie a piece of cloth in a different manner and dip it in a mixture of colours. Ms Sharma was also taught how the knots were removed to find different designs and concluded her session after sharing her experience of block printing technique and Preparation of colour.
