Amity University Madhya Pradesh Celebrates 69th Republic Day 2018

Amity University Madhya Pradesh, Gwalior celebrated the 69th Republic Day with great zeal, zest and patriotic fervour on 26 January 2018.
The programme commenced with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma AVSM (Retd) to the tune of the National Anthem.
Speaking on the occasion, Hon’ble VC laid emphasis on individual’s effort in making our country proud. “It’s the duty Each and every individual to contribute to the growth of the country”, he opined. He said that “It is a matter of pride for all of us that our country is progressing in all spheres and is poised to take its rightful place as a world leader. He motivated the youth by saying that they should contribute towards National growth by focusing on their duty, spreading cleanliness, honesty, protecting National Resources and Women by helping those in need.”
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor’s address was followed by rendition of a patriotic song by Adhwaresh of Mechanical-IV Sem which aroused patriotic fervor amongst the students, staff, members of faculty, Heads of Schools and Departments present on the occasion. To boost the morale of Support staff of AUMP, a few sporting events –“Manoranjan Khel” namely Scorpion Walk, Hoop Relay and Bouncing Ball were conducted in Male and Female category.
The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, AUMP, Lt Gen V K Sharma, AVSM (Retd.) along with the Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr) M P Kaushik, Director (Admin) Col S K Sethi gave away the prizes to the winners of “Manoranjan Khel” for supporting staff and Banner/Poster/Cartoon making competition organized by AUMP and EPFO.
Amidst the aura of patriotism, the students, faculty and the staff members of AUMP had the privilege of having a group photo session with Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and other dignitaries on this national festival, which they would cherish forever.
